About Us

HARIO Lampwork Factory is a glass jewelry brand by HARIO, a Japanese maker of heatproof glass founded in 1921.

Our Story

HARIO began as a manufacturer of heatproof glass for laboratory use.
Over time, its craftsmanship expanded into coffee tools, tea ware, and lifestyle products—always rooted in precision and quality.

The idea for glass jewelry was born unexpectedly.
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, a furnace produced pieces of glass with an unintentional, fleeting beauty.

In 2015, HARIO Lampwork Factory was created to carry forward the company’s original glass working techniques and transform them into wearable forms.

Design

HARIO’s heatproof glass allows for exceptional flexibility—able to be stretched, shaped, and refined into intricate, organic designs.

Each piece captures a moment of nature:
light passing through leaves, the softness of petals, the stillness of water.

The result is jewelry that feels both delicate and enduring.
